Hampstead is a Canadian town in Quebec, located in the Montreal agglomeration and enclosed by the city of Montreal. With an annual family income of $156,200, the small, affluent town had a population of 6,973 in 2016.
The town is named after the London borough of Hampstead.
It was amalgamated with the City of Montreal from January 1, 2002 to December 31, 2005 as part of Quebec's municipal reorganizations, then separated following a referendum.
